About us

Hi, I’m Nicole. I’m a mum of three children, including two autistic boys and a baby boy who’s quickly learning to keep up with his brothers.

Parenting hasn’t turned out quite how we imagined. Like many families, we found ourselves in the world of diagnoses, support plans and routines we never thought we’d need. It’s been emotional, sometimes exhausting, and full of small wins we’ve learned to really celebrate.

I started Mornings and Milk to share what’s helping us day to day. You’ll find honest thoughts on the toys, tools and routines we actually use at home. I’m not here to offer perfect advice or say what works for everyone — just to share our experience in the hope it helps someone else.

A little bit about our family

Our eldest is five. He’s autistic, full of energy and has the biggest smile when something clicks for him. Our middle child is three, also autistic, but with very different needs and ways of seeing the world. Our baby is one and already trying to copy everything they do.

Because they’re so different, we use different toys, approaches and days out to meet their needs. Sometimes something that works for one completely overwhelms another. That’s where this blog comes in. I write about what we try, how we adapt, and what actually helps in everyday life.
